From my Easel to You

I grew up in England in a housing estate but surrounded by farms, I fell in love with horses at a very young age, it’s a love that has lasted and grown stronger over time.  As a result I am primarily an equine artist but I also paint dogs, cats and other domestic animals, wildlife and the occasional human portrait. My portfolio has grown to include private commissions, original art, fine art prints and greeting cards.

I am mostly self-taught, I have found my way by watching other artists that I aspire to and by figuring out techniques that suit me. My favourite medium is acrylic, I enjoy the speed of this medium as it matches my quick thought process and speed at which I paint. I have an unending thirst to learn new things and have expended my skills to include pastels, colour pencils, graphite drawing and my latest obsession, scratch board.

My work now hangs with private clients and collectors Australia wide and overseas, in the United States, Canada, Germany, France and United Kingdom. I am lucky enough to have won or been a finalist in many art completions, both online and in person, I was also invited to show at the World Polo championships and the Emersion Exhibition at the Emirates, Wolgan Valley resort.

My paintings are often mistaken for photographs, however each painting goes far beyond a simple photo, with meticulous attention to detail. My animals hold you with their steady gaze, they evoke a strong emotional response, you can see their personality and soul which comes from my understanding of the individual animal, it comes from the heart with a passion for art that cannot be denied.

I live in the Noosa Hinterland with my two horses, Riv and Cass, my three dogs, Cloudy, Scrumby and Bailey, my two cats, Loui and Moe and my goose, Katie. There is never a dull day with them!

Thank you for taking the time to look around my web site, and to learn more about me. Please feel free to contact me, I love a chat!

MEET THE TEAM

I would like to introduce you to my wonderful team members, I could not manage without their love and support.

ceo
Ted

My name is Ted; I am the CEO, I am the one who is responsible for keeping this whole show on the road! For making sure Mum works hard to fulfil her commitment to you, to give you the most beautiful painting possible. I am also required to keep others (namely Cloudy and Scrumpy) from bothering her, to keep her company on my strategically placed bed and to also make sure she has breaks, mostly so I can get treats.

creative director & quality control

Cloudy

My name is Cloudy, I am the creative director, my role is to direct…. Creatively….. not really sure what that means but apparently I’m very good at it. I am also responsible for quality control, rest assured I constantly jump up on Mum’s lap while she is painting to make sure she is doing the best possible job for you. I also believe I’m the one in charge of quality control of the treats.

pr & sales

Scrumpy

My name is Scrumpy, I am PR and Sales, I am excellent at my job just because once you look into my eyes, my chocolate muffin eyes, see only my eyes, you will just melt and I will be able to get you to do anything I want!! Although, I may have to work on my technique a bit, as it doesn’t seem to be working with Mum when I’m turning on my best chocolate muffin eyes to get the treats.

the apprentice

Riv

Hi my name is Riv, I am the apprentice. I am only young and have a lot to learn but one day I hope to take over the reins of mum’s business and my aim is to keep it all driving forward, but at the moment I am a bit of a dogsbody. I am learning a lot, how to play with a stick, how to put on my mud makeup just when mum wants to take my photo and how to play catch me if you can. Ted, Cloudy and Scrumpy are wonderful, they encourage me in everything I do. Mum says she is hoping I get there in the end.
